Mount Elbrus
From mountaineering, Khanyi has pushed herself to function within zero temperatures, survive with less air and pace herself on to stay on the course whilst fighting against the elements. She learnt from Mount Kilimanjaro the value of working together as a team, and from climbing Mt Elbrus, she learnt about being comfortable within a harsh environment walking on glacier daily.
Mount Kilimanjaro
As an adventurer, Khanyi has summitted Mount Kilimanjaro (5876masl), the highest mountain in Africa and highest stand alone mountain in the world, Mt Elbrus in Russia (highest mountain in Europe AT 5.642masl) and Mafadi Peak (highest mountain in South Africa, 3426masl) as part of her fundraising and awareness campaigns for education, youth and women development.
Mafadi Peak
She understood from the Mafadi Peak the intricacies of having to descend after the summit. Khanyi's key message is that: "it is not about the summit, it is about the journey of getting there and what it takes to get back down."
