It was a time of reflection speaking on Self-Mastery and Wealth at the South African Funeral Practitioner's Association (SAFPA) Conference taking place this week. The business of death can be traumatic from all angles. This is where the business requires looking beyond the bottom line and considering the psychological, emotional, and psychical health matters which are one of the key factors in realizing wealth. " Health is Wealth". Through high levels of self-mastery, what seems to be a misfortune could be turned into a wealth-generating agenda. It may not have been a happy Youth Day because of the challenges faced by our young people today. These are however, times of great opportunity for our Youth to choose differently ,as the future is no longer the same. Ours is to be that voice which helps to craft a direction and build platforms where they can thrive in their area of passion, choices and capabilities. These are times of a different calling where future prospects are informed by our evolved identity, social consciousness and purpose. It was an honor to be part of the career day at a school whose foundation are firmly grounded on the principles lived by Mother Teressa. Much as there is no telling about what the future holds because of the uncertainties of today, we dare not encourage fear and helplessness in our young people. May we continue to speak life to our Youth even as the situation may seem dire today.
